I enjoy reading all the Atlanta Braves blogs and anything Braves as much as anybody. A well-written, thought-provoking article or blog about the players, the manager, and/or the organizational approach, is my internet nirvana.
But during the Braves off-season us bloggers mainly do two things: analyze what happened last season, and try to figure out what will happen this season.
But I’ve read far too much Braves statistical analysis for one off-season. I hated math in school; with computers and calculators on our cell phones, we rarely use what we learned about math in school anyway.
And all the Braves statistical dissection reminds me of the other class that I hated…biology. I still have nightmares about that defenseless frog…
The good news is that pitchers and catchers will be reporting in less than six weeks, so us bloggers will be talking about real Braves news very soon.
Maybe I’m just experiencing some post-holiday depression and feeling cranky– and the credit card bills haven’t even arrived yet.
The old Milwaukee Braves logo cheers me up, though. Ah, the good old days, when politically correct just meant that you had voted for whoever won the election.
