Atlanta Braves News & Notes
*Yesterday was known as “Truck Day,” the day when the bats, balls, uniforms, etc. are loaded up at Turner Field, and shipped to the team’s spring training complex at Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
*Today is also a special day in that it is Hank Aaron‘s 79th birthday. Congratulations, Hank; many more!
*Andrelton Simmons will be batting lead-off in the World Baseball Classic for his Netherlands team. Simmons is expected to assume that role when the regular season starts, so it will get him experience in game situations before he heads to spring training.
