The Atlanta Braves have placed outfielder Jordan Schafer on the 15-day disabled list and called up outfielder Joey Terdoslavich from Triple-A Gwinnett.

Schafer fouled a ball off his foot against Kansas City on June 29 and it has not responded to treatment.  Schafer says that he can walk and jog okay but is unable to run.

On the season, Schafer is hitting .312, with a .399 on-base-percentage and .464 slugging percentage.  He also leads the Braves in stolen bases with 9.

Terdoslavich will be making his first appearance on the major league level.  He has had a big year at Triple-A Gwinnett, hitting .318, with 18 homers and 58 RBI.

The switch-hitting outfielder has been named to both the Futures game and the Triple-A All-Star game.

Terdoslavich was converted to the outfield before the 2013 season and while he has excelled at the plate, he has committed seven errors in the field.
