Julio Teheran SF Post Game Q&A:
Q. Can you tell us about your game?
Julio Teheran: Yeah, I was using more of my four seam fastball and was commanding it good and making all my pitches.
Q. Did you feel that you had some pretty good defense behind you there, too?
Julio Teheran: Yeah, I know I feel like I have the support of the guys and hitting, too and they helped me to hold them.
Q. You got out of a couple bases loaded jams, that had to give you a lot of confidence, right?
Julio Teheran: I was trying to control myself in those situations but I was taking a lot of deep breaths and trying to get by.
Q. How big is it to win two out of three against the Giants?
Julio Teheran: I’m excited to know that it was against the championship team and I’m real excited.
Q. How important was it for you to bounce back with this performance after your last start?
Julio Teheran: I know that it wasn’t my best the last start and I was trying to get back on track and keep doing what I’ve done the last ten starts.
Q. Is it a sign of your maturity or development to get out of bases loaded jams like that?
Julio Teheran: Yeah, like I said I was sweating a lot, it was hot and it made me get out of control but I was trying to take deep breaths and take it pitch by pitch.
Q. What about that catch that Justin (Upton) made?
Julio Teheran: I thought that it was going to be trouble and when I saw everyone clapping it was oh he made it and I was pretty excited.
