Atlanta Braves utility infielder Ramiro Pena will be getting a second opinion on his sore right shoulder Wednesday. It appears the first opinion wasn’t very encouraging.
Pena went on the disabled list on June 21 retroactive to June 17.
Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez speculated to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution about whether the Braves might lose Pena for the season, “I don’t know. He’s going to get another opinion and we’re going to decide how we go about it. He wanted a second opinion. I think that’s normal.”
